Latest News:
Living Headless is heading to the studio in June and July to record our newest tracks, to be released in August.
We find these new tracks to reveal a harsher stronger, trend toward an urban vibe. As a group we are beginning to read each other better, and due to our earlier shows, are becoming stronger yet more chaotic on the stage.
Our new tracks, especially "Sin", and "Stranger" we are unleashing a renewed committment to industrial modern rock. As of now, you will only hear these songs live. Be sure to catch these tracks in our upcoming shows with Shadow's Inc, and in our solo shows coming @ Sully's in Peoria, and SOP's in Peoria.
The summer months have lit a fire under our collective asses. We are outwriting ourselves, while maintaing a wall of sound that we are happy with. Pfister is producing some of his best guitar work, and our newest member, Melissa (keyboards) is beginning to contribute some black key progressions with the passion that we all knew she had. And the Kid (percussion) is finally calming the fuck down and listening to the rhythms that surround him, while doing a bit of directing on his own. Look for an addition of electronic experimentation in the new tracks.
We are getting exposure, the good kind, that is working in our favor, and our fan base is growing violently and rapidly. Our live show is our strength. If you havent seen us on stage...then you miss the point and the strength of what we try to do...
Living Headless is a live band....and getting livelier by the day.

After some decent studio work, we are releasing our debut 4 song EP, Volition.
Honestly, as a freshman project, we decided to back away from a 14 song album
and break the music into digestable chunks. This decision is much better for
us, as we are maturing very very quickly, reading one another differently
everyday. We are out-writing ourselves (always a great problem to have in an
original group), thus the EP route is the way to go.
This inspired set of original songs documents our experiments with rolling pick
patterns over trip-rock inspired melodies. In this release we exploit our
fortuneate band chemistry with thought-provoking lyrics and mood-inducing
rhythms. Damn, the chemistry is good. Seriously, how lucky can you get.
Everyone in the group is highly pleased and excited at what happened with this
new set up songs. Moving away from heavy rock, we are focusing on a urban/post
modern groove that we were lucky enough to catch. Right spot, right time.
